This colorful musical tapestry was made by Ellen VanLaar and was donated to the theater in 2016 by long time supporter Marian MacLeod. As you head into the first hallway you will find two small music studios. The first studio serves double duty as an office by day and a music studio by night complete with a spinet piano. The second studio houses a beautiful baby grand piano donated by the Bob Arfstrom family and is primarily a music studio and practice space. As you round the corner you can catch the insider view of two of the outside windows of the Soo Theatre complex. These windows contain displays of recent productions, decorations at the holidays and even live performance art at Halloween as they house our actor mannequins at our annual Haunted Theatre. This hallway takes you into the first of two small rehearsal rooms in the building, Studio C. This studio is decorated with colorful rugs to liven up the space for music classes, meetings and small performances. The rugs are portable for movement and acting classes and rehearsals. Sound panels were created and designed by volunteer Pam Stanaway and her husband Bob Zajkowski to absorb some of the sound in this live space. In addition to its regular class use, this delightful studio has housed many a production rehearsal, orchestra rehearsal and even a small recital and master class. The final studio can be accessed from a separate entrance on the street as well as through the central hallway of the theater lobby. Meeting Your Energy Needs With The Help Of The Sun

In the future, people will be less dependent on oil for things like electricity and home heating. A huge part of this will be solar energy and luckily for you, it is something you can look into now. This article is filled with useful tips and helpful information.

Try to get panels that don't completely rely on when the sun is up. New solar energy systems can store a great deal of energy so that you can make complete use of your system 24/7, 365 days a year. This can help if you use power during the night.

To go partially solar-powered, look at smaller applications that use solar energy. This can be accomplished in two ways. The first is to look for window-mounted panels that can be used to charge your portable electronic devices. You should also consider investing in small appliances that can be powered with solar panels. Every tiny thing you do will make your energy bill that much cheaper.

If you want to get off the grid, you will need to store power for when the sun is not shining. A battery can store this excess energy, or you could also sell the excess to a company that maintains a primary power grid.

Keep in mind that just because you live in a cloudy, colder climate doesn't mean you cannot utilize solar energy. The solar power isn't produced by temperature, it is produced by the sun's rays. In fact, some say they receive the most energy on cool, clear days.

The time has come for everyone to consider whether they can benefit from solar power. As you ponder, think about these two things. If your home is in the middle of nowhere and you are unable to hook up to utility grids, you may benefit from solar energy. It's also a wonderful choice if you understand that paying more upfront can cut your costs and the environment in the long run.

You can make a solar system installation more affordable by looking into grants and rebates. If you cannot find any grants or rebates you qualify for, be prepared to spend a lot on your solar energy system. Look into government rebates and grants that will reward you for using a renewable energy. They work to lower the cost substantially. Often, the initial cost of your solar panel system will net you a tax break.

Crunch your numbers before investing in solar panels for your home. Depending on your location, the costs of solar panels will outweigh the potential output of your system. Going into solar without researching it can leave you in for a poor surprise when you see the numbers.

The best time to look consider energy efficient options is when you first build a house, and solar energy is no exception to this rule. Solar energy is a great alternative energy source since it hardly affects the environment at all. This is the ideal time to conduct more research on solar energy.

Verify all local and state regulations prior to installing a solar power system. Sometimes, you will need to apply for a permit to get a solar panel system. Putting a system in and then having to take it out would be a disaster.

Install your solar panels so their exposure to the sun is optimal. If the panels are shaded by too many trees, it can result in the system not being very effective at all.

In the future, we should be able to reduce our impact on the environment. There is no reason to wait. Why not explore the options now? You will be amazed by the amount of money and energy you will save.
